About AME Consulting

I’m Aileen M. Edwards, a Certified Coach specializing in Leadership Coaching and Human Resource Consulting. I have over thirty years of Professional Human Resource Management (HRM) experience, including spending over two decades at the senior level. I started my business in February 2020, after leaving the corporate world. I’ve always wanted to start a business using my skills and training, but I was too busy working many hours building my career. When the opportunity presented itself, I jumped at the chance to create my business to help individuals and employers.

My expertise enables me to empower people that want to put in the hard work to grow personally and professionally. It includes providing leadership coaching to new and established leaders along with providing HR consulting services to big and small businesses.

My business got off the ground in 2020 during the height of the pandemic, so my services have been mainly virtual, which allowed me to work with people from all over from the comfort of my office. I primarily serve clients across the Greater Toronto area; however, virtual has opened many more service areas.

One aspect that makes me second to none is that I use my skills as a certified coach to help people tap into their potential to discover what they really can accomplish, both personally and professionally. I work with my clients closely to identify what they want to work on and provide honest feedback instead of what I think they want to hear. My open and candid approach helps to build long-lasting and trusting relationships.

What also sets me apart from others are my personal strengths of positivity and inclusivity. A value add is being a woman of color in a business where there are very few. People of color now have some options to choose from and work with someone who can offer lived experiences and can relate to them on that level.

Tasting Sweet Success

One of my most significant achievements has been starting a business during a pandemic when the world went home and businesses closed, to still being in business today. My ability to weather the storm has been a great achievement of mine. My dream for the future is to continue to grow my coaching practice. I would also like to complete writing my first book and perhaps add more coaches to the roster in the future.
